Women Empowerment and Skill Development Initiative

Sunita is a 32-year-old woman from a low-income family in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Her family depended primarily on irregular earnings, making it difficult to meet household expenses and support her children's education. She had limited access to vocational training and lacked the confidence and resources to start an independent income-generating activity. Helping Hands Welfare Foundation enrolled Sunita in its Women Empowerment and Skill Development Program. She received practical tailoring training, guidance on basic financial management, and information about home-based entrepreneurship. The program also encouraged her to develop marketable skills and explore opportunities to earn income from home. After completing the training, Sunita was better equipped to undertake basic tailoring work and explore local customer opportunities. The training helped her improve her practical skills, confidence, and understanding of managing small earnings. Her experience demonstrates how access to vocational training and financial awareness can support women's economic participation and independence.
